Home alone in a quiet, quiet house! AHHHHH nice. Headed to the doctor shortly. It takes a lot to get me to the doctor because usually I get well quickly. This cough I have though, has been lingering for weeks now and it's not improving. It's so deep and exhausting that I HAVE to get it taken care of--STAT!! Hopefully they can fix me! :)

It's snowing pretty steadily right now, they say we'll have 12+ inches by tomorrow morning. LOVE IT. THe snow makes winter--WINTER. It's so pretty around here with the fluffy white blanket. Feels like Christmas, and makes winter less "blah". People here actually look forward to the snow, it's kind of nice!

I have my giving tree all set up at work. It looks really cute, I think. All those candy canes and stars are names of kids\adults and what they need this year. It's very, very, humbling. I hope we can help a lot of people with this tree. I know I plan to do as much as I possibly can. Many of the needs are winter coats, boots, etc. I can't imagine not having that for the kids in this weather.

Jason and I are babysitting the girls this Saturday and we plan to take all 4 kids to see the Nutcracker. Yes, we are brave and slightly crazy!! Jason's idea! I think he secretly would have 6 kids if not for his super-sensibility!! :) Will be lots of fun though since it is put on my the girls ballet studio.

Christmas was so amazing this year. Jason and I both took off all last week so we just got to enjoy the kids, family and each other all week long. It was really, really nice! It was just so much fun seeing the kids' excitement this year. They were happy about everything and so excite about Santa....even seeing the reindeer prints in the snow for REAL! They were actually whitetail deer prints in the backyard, but real deer just the same.

Lily screeched in a very high pitched squealing voice "MY DOLLHOUSE" as soon as she saw it. Made my day\week\whatever! She was so excited about it and has been playing with it ever since. Aidan got several things but his favorite has to be Mario Kart for the wii. He has mastered it already, little techie boy!

Another neat thing was Aidan had his first snow skiing lesson on Friday. I video taped it and will post that later. Bottom line though, I was SO proud of him. He was so brave, and just took right to it. It was awesome to watch. He did so well!!

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Hugh Hefner is down a girlfriend.

Hefner and Holly Madison, one of E!'s "The Girls Next Door," are no longer dating. Hefner said he's been "down in the dumps" about the split.

The 28-year-old model-actress stars in the reality series with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt as one of the 82-year-old publisher's girlfriends who live with Hefner in the Playboy Mansion.

"If Holly says it's over, I guess it's over," Hefner said in a telephone interview Wednesday. "She's still here in the house. Until a few days ago, we were still sharing the same bed."

Hefner was surprised to hear Madison discussing their breakup, but acknowledged he knew a split was imminent after he told Madison that they would never wed or have children.

In a video posted on TMZ.com Tuesday, Madison said she's no longer with Hefner. She also said she is "still filming stuff together" with Wilkinson and Marquardt.

Hefner said Madison learned the pair would never have children or get married six months ago, adding: "The fact that she was depressed after that, I didn't know at all. That was a revelation in the last days and weeks. Quite frankly, we thought when the time came, we would make a combined statement and we expected that combined statement would be somewhere in the weeks and months ahead."

"The Girls Next Door" premiered on E! in 2001 and is in its fifth season. Hefner said he and the three women are committed to a sixth season, but he plans to seek out new live-in lovers. Hefner said 19-year-old Playmate twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon are living in the mansion, but they aren't his girlfriends -- yet.

"It's now apparent there will be some new faces in my personal life and on the show," he said. "There's been moments that I've been down in the dumps about all this, and (personal assistant) Mary (O'Connor) told me to cheer up and pointed out that there are girls lined up outside the front gate. At my age, that's hard to believe, but it seems to be true."

Hefner's relationship with his remaining two girlfriends -- Marquardt, 35, and Wilkinson, 23 -- may also be in flux. Hefner said Marquardt is in Europe filming the new Travel Channel series "Bridget's Beaches," and Wilkinson may soon move out of the mansion and get her own apartment. Hefner said E! is interested in spin-offs with all three women.

The Playboy mogul expects to maintain a business relationship and friendship with Madison, who -- along with Marquardt -- originally was one of seven girlfriends living with Hefner in 2001 after his separation from Kimberley Conrad. Wilkinson was later asked to move into the Playboy Mansion in 2004. Hefner said he may again seek out seven -- or more -- girlfriends.

"It's a big house," he said. "And I'm not going to live alone. I'm definitely not going to live alone."

Bucs' Bryant plays despite death of infant son

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Matt Bryant choked back tears. A day after burying his 3-month-old son in Texas, the Tampa Bay kicker booted three field goals to help the Buccaneers beat the Green Bay Packers 30-21 on Sunday.
"I don't know what I needed today," Bryant said. "It worked out OK. Could've been better, but given the circumstances it turned out OK."
Bryant's youngest son, Matthew Tryson, was found dead at home in Tampa on Wednesday. It will be several weeks before the kicker and his wife learn the cause of death.
Bryant didn't practice all week, and coach Jon Gruden left it up to him to decide if he would play.
"The biggest thing for me, I wanted to honor Tryson's name," Bryant said. "I mean, I don't think it was very fair for his life to end so short. This is the best way I believe I could get out and honor him. I miss him and wish he was here, but he was here with me. He helped out."
Bryant kicked field goals 23 and 36 yards in the second quarter. His 24-yarder, with 2:26 to go, finished a six-minute drive and put the Bucs ahead for good, 23-21.
"Today was his day. It was all about Tryson for me. I talked with him, personally, in my head throughout the game. I just wanted to remind him that he's my baby boy and that he's with me all the time."
The Bucs awarded a game ball to Bryant, who has rebounded from a subpar preseason to play an important role in two of Tampa Bay's three victories. He kicked a winning field goal in overtime last week at Chicago.
"If you really knew Matt, this really puts a human touch on everything that is going on in the football world," Gruden said. "This was an unexpected situation. This family is in total shock, and he flew back after a funeral to make the game-winning kick."
Punter Josh Bidwell is Bryant's best friend on the team.
"He's proving right now, more than ever, that he's one of the best in the business. Regardless of his preseason and the struggles that he went through, this is who he is — he's a gamer," Bidwell said.
"And he came out here and did his job for us, and I think it was therapeutic because he knew we were going to play hard for him. That was the message given to him, even when we were down

Does being in the Senate make you ready? Does a life time of playing political games make you ready? The answer is No. Nothing could prepare ANYONE for leading our nation, especially in the horrible state it is in right now.

Choosing a president is a leap of faith. Humans are fallible creatures and a human will be president. George Bush has been a disaster, McCain is a George Bush disciple.

In this case, CHANGE is the only answer.

Slow Berry Cobbler

Episode:	One Pot Meals

Filling:
1 (10-ounce) bag frozen strawberries
1 (10-ounce) bag frozen blueberries
1 (10-ounce) bag frozen raspberries
1/3 to 2/3 cup sugar, depending on your level of preferred sweetness
1/2 cup baking mix

Topping:
2 1/4 cups baking mix
1/4 cup sugar, plus 1/4 cup
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Spray the insert of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, toss together all the frozen fruit, sugar and 1/2 cup baking mix. Transfer the fruit to the slow cooker. In another large mixing bowl, stir together 2 1/4 cups baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, melted butter and milk with a wooden spoon. With your hands, drop bits of dough on top of the fruit in the slow cooker. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top of the dough and place the lid on the slow cooker. Turn the power onto high and slow cook for 3 to 4 hours until the topping has puffed and the fruit is bubbling.

Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis is the new mother of a baby girl, PEOPLE has confirmed.

"De Laurentiis and husband Todd Thompson welcomed their first child, a healthy baby girl, on Saturday March 29 in Los Angeles," her rep tells PEOPLE. "Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson weighed in at 5lbs, 13oz."

The baby is the first for the Food Network star and Today show contributor, 37, and her husband since 2003, Todd Thompson, 44, a clothing designer.

"When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock," De Laurentiis said last November, when the baby news was first announced. "I truly didn't believe it. I honestly thought, 'There has got to be a mistake.' "

By February, she was saying of the physical changes overtaking her – and her sudden cravings for steak – "I couldn't be more excited about being pregnant. ... I can't wait to meet her."
